Mrs. Millie Baldon, 65, died at the Putnam county hospital Sunday morning as result of burns suffered in a fire at her home, at the south edge of Cloverdale, Thursday evening. Mrs. Baldon suffered second and third degree burns and also inhaled a considerable amount of smoke. Mrs. Baldon was alone in the house at the time. John Whitaker, Putnam county coroner, and a representative of the State Fire Marshal’s office conducted an investigation. She was born Sept. 13, 1861, in Owen county, the daughter of Emery and Alice Wilson Comer. She was married to Ezra Query, who preceded her in death in 1941. For the past several years, she had resided at Cloverdale. Prior to that time she lived in the Cataract community. She is survived by the husband, John Baldon; two sons, Russell Query, Cloverdale Route 3, Arthur Query, Indianapolis; two brothers, Ray Comer, Eminence, John Comer, San Diego, California, and one sister, Mrs. Edith Meek, Cloverdale Route 3. Private services will be held from the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale at 2 p.m. on Wednesday with burial in the Buckskin cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Kbz
